How to read the Visa Bulletin

    • Your priority date is the date your PERM was filed. When the bulletin’s cutoff date passes your priority date, your green card can be issued.
    • Bangladesh has no separate column: Bangladeshi applicants use “All Chargeability Areas”, shown here as Bangladesh & all other countries.
    • “Current” means no waiting for that month; “Unavailable” means no visas could be issued that month.
    • A cutoff date can move backwards (retrogression) when demand is higher than the yearly quota. The past is not a promise of the future: it shows the pattern, not your exact date.
