Short answer: nobody can give an exact Visa Bulletin prediction, not even the State Department. What you can do is look at how fast the dates really moved in the past and make an honest estimate. In the November 2026 Visa Bulletin the EB-3 Other Workers Final Action date for Bangladesh (and all other countries not listed separately) is 1 June 2022. Over the last five years this date usually moved forward about 7 months per year. At that speed it could reach around January 2023 by November 2027.
You can do this calculation for your own priority date on our free Visa Bulletin forecast tool. This article explains how to read such a prediction, and why you should never trust anyone who promises an exact month.
What is a Visa Bulletin prediction?
Every month the U.S. Department of State publishes the Visa Bulletin. For each category and country it shows a cutoff date. If your priority date (for EB-3, the day your PERM was filed) is earlier than the cutoff, a visa number can be given to you.
A "prediction" is simply a guess of where that cutoff will be in a future month. Officials sometimes say a few words about the coming months in the bulletin itself, but they do not publish a long-term forecast. Any forecast you see online, including ours, is calculated from past movement.
November 2026: where the EB-3 dates are now
| Category (Bangladesh / all other countries) | Final Action date |
|---|---|
| EB-3 Other Workers (unskilled) | 1 June 2022 |
| EB-3 Skilled Workers / Professionals | 15 June 2024 |
| EB-2 | 1 April 2025 |
The Dates for Filing chart for EB-3 Other Workers in November 2026 is 1 July 2022. NVC can ask for your documents once your priority date is before that date, often months before the Final Action date reaches you. Every month since 2001 is listed on our Visa Bulletin history page.
How fast did EB-3 Other Workers move?
Look at the real numbers. In the November 2025 bulletin the EB-3 Other Workers date was 15 July 2021. One year later, in November 2026, it was 1 June 2022. So in the last 12 months it moved about 10.5 months, a good year.
But one good year is not the whole story. Our tool measures every 12-month window of the last five years. The middle (typical) speed is about 7.4 months per year. Slow years moved about 3 months, fast years about 8 months. In 2022 the date even went backwards by about three years after it had been "Current", and in the last ten years it moved backwards several times. This is why a good forecast always shows a range, not one date.
Worked example: when could my date be current?
Say your PERM was filed in June 2023 and you were born in Bangladesh. Your priority date is about 12 months after today's cutoff. Using the November 2026 bulletin, the forecast tool gives:
- If dates move fast: around May 2028.
- At the typical speed: around August 2028.
- If dates move slowly: around October 2030.
With a priority date of June 2024 the typical estimate is around March 2030. A later priority date means a longer wait, because everyone in the line before you must be served first. After your date is current there are still steps: NVC, the interview in Dhaka or Seoul, and the visa. Our green card timeline shows each step. From PERM to green card, the whole EB-3 process takes about 5 years.
Why the dates can stop or move backwards
- Yearly limit: the U.S. fiscal year starts on 1 October. Each year has a fixed number of EB-3 visas. When demand is higher than that number, the cutoff stops or goes back, often in summer.
- Demand you cannot see: the State Department sees how many documentarily qualified applicants are waiting. The public does not, so every outside forecast has uncertainty.
- Rule changes: pauses and new rules can slow interviews even when your date is current. In late 2026 interview scheduling was affected; check our rule changes page for the latest status.
So treat a forecast as a planning tool, not a promise. Check every new bulletin. You can also get a free email alert when a new Visa Bulletin is published.
How to use the forecast tool
- Open the Visa Bulletin forecast.
- Enter the date your PERM was filed (your priority date).
- Choose your category: EB-3 Other Workers, EB-3 Skilled or EB-2.
- Choose your country of birth. Bangladesh, Korea and Nepal use the "all other countries" column.
- Read the three estimates and the chart. The shaded area shows the range between slow and fast years.
The tool uses only official Final Action dates from every monthly bulletin and updates itself when a new bulletin comes out. It also explains its method on the page.
FAQ
Is there an official Visa Bulletin prediction for 2027?
No. The State Department publishes each month's dates only. Any long-term prediction is an estimate by someone else.
Why does Bangladesh not have its own column?
Only countries with very high demand (for example India, China, Mexico and the Philippines) get their own column. Bangladesh uses "All Chargeability Areas Except Those Listed".
Should I wait for my date before starting EB-3?
No. Your place in line is your priority date, and it is fixed when the PERM is filed. Starting earlier means an earlier priority date.
